Glasner refuses to bail on Forest mess despite latest loss

Things are properly grim at Nottingham Forest right now. Oliver Glasner's side keeps dropping points, and honestly, the pressure would crush most managers. Not him though.

"Look, I go home and have breakfast with my family, so it's not the worst situation," Glasner said after another defeat. Bit of perspective there—he's not exactly panicking. "If I want, I could start somewhere else in two weeks. I won't do it." So he's staying put, which either means he's stubborn or genuinely believes he can fix this mess. Probably both.

The real problem? Forest are stuck in the same hole they were in last season. New manager, same underlying issues. Glasner reckons the only way out is a complete rebuild from the ground up. "Without any compromises, zero, zero," he said. That's a lot of zeros. Means he's thinking long-term, not just scrambling to survive this weekend.

Sunderland's Régis Le Bris chimed in with his own headache. His team's drowning in fixtures—Europe and the league both demanding chunks of the week. "We're exposed this season with this busy schedule, it's really demanding," Le Bris said. Apparently it's not a shock though. Plenty of clubs felt the same squeeze last year when they first jumped into European competition. The math's brutal: you typically lose about 10 points across the season just from fixture congestion and fatigue.

So we've got two managers basically saying the same thing in different ways: the schedule's a killer, the situation's dire, but they're not throwing in the towel. Glasner's digging in for a rebuild. Le Bris is gritting through a tough campaign. Neither sounds like they're one loss away from calling it quits.
